Privacy policy
This policy explains what Smart Coat Painting & Construction collects through smartcoatpaintingfl.com, why, and who else handles it. It covers this website only — not what happens on a job site or in a contract.
Effective date:
What we collect
We collect what you type into a form on this site. There is no account to create, no newsletter sign-up and no personalization of the pages themselves.
The estimate form collects the service you are asking about, your ZIP code, your name, your phone number, your email address and anything you write in the message field, plus any photographs you choose to attach. The careers form collects your name, phone number, email address, the trade you work in, your experience and your message.
- Estimate form: service, ZIP code, name, phone, email, message, optional photographs.
- Careers form: name, phone, email, trade, experience, message.
- Analytics: pages viewed, referring site, approximate region, device and browser — not tied to your name.
- Advertising measurement: whether a visit that came from one of our ads went on to send a form or tap to call, and the cookie identifiers that let Google and Meta recognize that visit — never the contents of a form, apart from the hashed email address described under “Who else handles it”.
- Marketing analytics: the pages a browser views and where the visit came from, recorded by RD Station against a random identifier — not tied to your name unless you send an estimate request, which is recorded there too.
- Server logs: IP address and request details, kept briefly by our host for security and abuse prevention.
Why we collect it
To answer you. Form details are used to prepare and send your estimate, to arrange the walkthrough, and to reply about the work — or, on the careers form, to talk to you about working with us.
Analytics is used to understand which pages are read and where the site is slow. We use it to fix pages, not to build a profile of you.
Advertising measurement is used to tell whether our ads on Google, Facebook and Instagram lead to estimate requests and calls, and to show our ads to people who have already visited this site.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers, each of which processes data on our instructions or under its own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information and we do not trade it with other contractors.
We may share conversion data with Google and Meta: that a form was submitted or a call button was tapped, not what you wrote in the form, with the one exception below.
When you request an estimate we also record the request in RD Station, the customer-relationship system we use to follow up, and we may share with Google, in hashed form, the email address you provide so that Google can match the request to an ad you clicked (Google's enhanced conversions).
- Vercel — hosting, content delivery and privacy-friendly performance measurement.
- Resend — delivering form submissions to us by email.
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics.
- Google Ads — measuring which of our ads lead to estimate requests and calls, and showing our ads to past visitors.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — the same, for our ads on Meta's platforms, through the Meta Pixel.
- RD Station — marketing analytics, and the customer-relationship system in which we record estimate requests to follow up. Career applications are not sent to RD Station.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — checking that a form submission came from a person rather than a bot.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site sets one cookie of its own: after you send the short estimate form, a cookie holding a random submission number lives for two minutes, so that the confirmation page counts your request once and only once. The services below set theirs, and you can block or delete all of them in your browser without losing access to anything on this site.
- Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) — recognizes a returning visit. We keep analytics data for 14 months.
- Google Ads (cookies beginning _gcl_) — remembers which ad brought you here, so that a later form or call can be counted. Kept for 90 days by default.
- Meta Pixel (_fbp, and _fbc when you arrive from a Meta ad) — the same, for Meta's platforms. Kept according to Meta's own policy.
- RD Station (rdtrk and __trf.src) — a random visitor identifier and the source of the visit. Kept according to RD Station's own policy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — a short-lived token while it checks a form submission.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept for as long as we are talking to you about the work, and after that for as long as we need them for our records and for the legal and tax periods that apply to a Florida contractor. Analytics data is kept for 14 months; advertising cookies expire as listed above. Server logs are short-lived.
Form submissions are also written to the logs of our hosting provider for delivery reliability — so that a message reaches us even if the email step fails — and those log entries are retained for up to 30 days before they are deleted automatically.
Text messages
If you check the box consenting to text messages when you send a form, we may text you about your estimate or your project. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, consent is not a condition of any purchase, and you can stop the messages at any time by replying STOP. We do not sell or share your number with anyone for their own marketing.
Your privacy choices
Write to info@smartcoatpaintingfl.com and ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will. If you are in a state whose law gives you a formal right to those things, this is how you exercise it — we apply the same process to everyone rather than checking where you live first.
We honor Global Privacy Control signals. If your browser sends one, this site switches off advertising cookies, ad measurement and RD Station for your visit before any of them loads; Google Analytics stays on. Florida law does not require this, California's rules expect it, and it is the simplest opt-out there is.
You can also opt out in any of these ways, none of which stops you from using the site, calling us or sending a form:
- Google: turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics on every site you visit.
- Meta: change your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
- Your browser: block or delete cookies for this site.
Why there is no cookie banner
Visitors in the United States get analytics and advertising cookies by default, with the opt-outs above. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, where the law requires consent first, get no analytics or advertising cookies at all: we do not work there, so we do not ask. Google recognizes those regions from the visitor's network location; for the Meta Pixel and RD Station, which cannot, we switch them off for any browser set to a European time zone.
Children
This site is for people arranging construction and painting work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
